Artwork location: Romania

The artwork presents an abstract, dynamic scene featuring three elongated figures in conversation. Utilizing bold strokes and vivid colors, the artist creates an intriguing juxtaposition of sharp reds, blues, and greens against a deep, dark backdrop. The figures, rendered with an ethereal, almost translucent quality, engage in an enigmatic interaction, their forms blending seamlessly into the chaotic, yet cohesive, background. Distinctive lines and shapes intersect, forming a complex web that suggests movement and energy. The interplay of geometric and organic shapes serves to highlight the figures' enigmatic expressions, drawing the viewer into a narrative both abstract and compelling. This piece stands out for its vibrant color palette and the seamless fusion of form and chaos, inviting contemplation and interpretation.

Italy  • 1961

Presentation

Born in Como (1961), but always active in Milan, can be defined without rhetoric a “master of color".

In his works, color often becomes a continuous series of overlaps, nuances and scratches, transparencies next to timbre zones, color that covers other color, adding tones and blurs. In 2009 he was among the artists invited to represent Italy at the Venice Biennale. In 2011, when he turned 50, its city of origin dedicates him an anthology diffused in three public spaces.
