Description
This captivating work features a solitary human figure standing on a rocky promontory. The scene is dominated by a vibrant sky dotted with multicolored clouds in pastel hues. This juxtaposition of warm and cool colors amplifies the painting's dreamlike atmosphere. The figure itself, partially abstracted, seems to melt into the landscape, accentuating a sense of dreaminess and mystery. The fluid brushstrokes extending behind it evoke movement, as if it were about to fly off into the distant horizon. The entire painting evokes themes of solitude and freedom, while also encouraging contemplation. The fluid painting style and bold color choices are the defining features of this work, creating a fascinating and immersive visual experience.
Presentation
Self-taught French painter, trained in various courses and workshops but also at the School of Fine Arts in Narbonne, Christine Desplanque draws her inspiration from currents as varied as Impressionism, Intuitism and Resilience Art.
His bright and colorful paintings are an ode to nature: they do not seek to describe it or to represent it, but rather to allow each sensibility to walk there, as one wanders in oneself.
The book "Reminiscences" by Christine Desplanque and Rémi Grassart was published in 2022 by Humbird and Curley, presenting part of her artistic universe. She receives the public prize at the 8th International Salon of Resilience Art.
For the past few years, Christine Desplanque has been holding exhibitions in her region, in Paris, and one is planned for London in July 2023.
