Description
This captivating painting illustrates two children on a walk, symbolizing innocence and escapade. The pastel tones of the sky blend harmoniously with touches of green, blue, and beige, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The small figures in white dresses seem to advance toward an horizon filled with shimmering dots, evoking a starry sky in broad daylight—a true invitation to reverie. Broad brushstrokes on the ground suggest a blurred path, steeped in mystery and discovery. The contrast between the children's clarity and the stippled texture of the sky gives the work a striking depth. This painting captures the essence of escape and the simple beauty of youth, urging the viewer to get lost in thought and embrace the wondrous world of childhood.
Presentation
Self-taught French painter, trained in various courses and workshops but also at the School of Fine Arts in Narbonne, Christine Desplanque draws her inspiration from currents as varied as Impressionism, Intuitism and Resilience Art.
His bright and colorful paintings are an ode to nature: they do not seek to describe it or to represent it, but rather to allow each sensibility to walk there, as one wanders in oneself.
The book "Reminiscences" by Christine Desplanque and Rémi Grassart was published in 2022 by Humbird and Curley, presenting part of her artistic universe. She receives the public prize at the 8th International Salon of Resilience Art.
For the past few years, Christine Desplanque has been holding exhibitions in her region, in Paris, and one is planned for London in July 2023.
