The oil painting on cardboard titled "Autumn Leaves Are Flying" captures a fleeting and poetic moment in the heart of an autumn city park. The scene is set along a paved pedestrian path, its surface glistening with fresh rain, reflecting the golden light and the vibrant canopy above. A central figure, holding an umbrella, walks into the distance. Their presence adds scale and narrative depth to the painting, drawing the viewer inward and suggesting themes of solitude, contemplation, or simply the daily rhythm of life. Another more distant figure stands by their side, barely distinguishable, their shapes softened by the rain and the painter's loose, impressionistic brushwork. The wet pavement reflects their silhouettes, as well as the surrounding trees and lamps, enhancing the dreamlike atmosphere. The artist skillfully renders the autumn foliage with sweeping, confident strokes of ochre, sienna, amber, and bursts of gold. The leaves whirl through the air in a dance of decay and beauty. Some are still clinging to the tree branches above, while others drift downward or scatter across the ground. The movement of the leaves is emphasized by expressive, curved brushstrokes that suggest the motion of the wind. Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
