Description
I revisited this iconic character from the Marvel universe in a more realistic and contemporary version. Gwen Stacy appears here in a silent, almost frozen posture, but with a gaze that seems ready to leap out. I didn't want to represent a heroine in action, but the calm before the storm—that inner tension we sometimes feel before making a choice. The collages, printed from comics, enrich the work without overloading it. They embody echoes of her past battles, her enemies, and her multiple lives between shadow and light. Each fragment placed on her hood becomes a part of her story, as if the story she carries literally stuck to her skin.
This vibrant artwork captures the intriguing essence of a female face, dominated by a piercing and expressive gaze. The angular features are softened by a warm palette of gold and pink hues, creating a striking contrast with the dark accents around the eyes. The touches of gold paint add a luxurious and dynamic dimension, evoking a sense of movement and reflection. The abstract background, composed of fluid shapes and intertwining patterns, frames the central portrait, emphasizing a harmony between chaos and order. Since childhood, Noël Caizergues has had a passion for drawing, starting with creating Pokémon in his notebooks.
