Description
This work perfectly illustrates the unique universe of the artist Patopalomo. The dense and rhythmic composition reveals a profusion of organic forms and graphic signs that respond to each other in a continuous movement. The bold and contrasting colors, combined with spontaneous lines and controlled drips, reinforce the visual energy of the whole.
With its abundant structure, the work evokes a world in perpetual transformation, where each element seems to participate in a collective dynamic. The painting is not limited to a precise narrative, but opens up a space for free interpretation for the viewer, oscillating between humor, vitality, and questioning.
In line with Figuration Libre and the Galerie Plurielle in Sète, this work develops an original plastic language at the crossroads of drawing, painting and the imagination.
Presentation
Born October 22, 1946 in Santiago, Chile, this pigeon has lived for twenty years in the south of France. Party of Santiago following the military coup of 1973, he first lived in several Latin countries US before coming to nest on the Provençal lands. As a graphic designer, he worked in the Argentine, Mexican and Chilean media who fought for freedom of expression and the end of dictatorships; today as an artist, he kept the footprints of its origins and paints, sculpts and makes installations with materials picked up here and there.
Through a free illustration, color, material and profusion, he deposits on various substrates (wood, canvas, cardboard, plexiglass, varied recycling equipment ) images that he caught on the fly, during his travel and contact with disabilities and other artists. Gleaner inveterate, it also fills with humor and poetry devious objects or blank media while pointing his brushes and pencils on the contradictions of our globalized world.
