Description
This artwork is a powerful example of minimalistic abstraction, using geometric forms and bold colors to convey meaning. The composition features three main elements: a textured beige section forming the background, juxtaposed with a large, solid blue rectangle and an angular red shape. The interplay of these colors creates a striking visual balance, with the vibrant red cutting through the serene blue, both anchored by the earthy tones of the beige. The contrast between the rough, tactile texture of the background and the smooth, flat surfaces of the colored shapes enhances the dynamism and depth. This piece challenges the viewer's perception of space and form, evoking a sense of movement and tension through its precise arrangement. Clean lines and a simplistic palette emphasize the purity and intensity of its abstract expression, inviting reflection on the interaction between color and structure.
Presentation
My works play with remains of various, almost all precarious, materials: papers, cardboard, paints, photographs, found objects..., which are combined through a technique that owes a lot to collage. In most cases, the arrangement of the fragments and the randomness of the composition lead the observer into a labyrinth that demands to be interpreted. The confluence of disparate elements resists the inadequacy of a rigid, obsolete system, opening up to a chaos that points towards the configuration of a new order.
