Description
This abstract artwork commands attention with its dynamic composition and vivid contrasts. The piece features a striking interplay of colors and textures, anchored by a bold vertical red stripe on the left. The juxtaposition of red against a predominantly white background creates a sense of depth and invites exploration. Intersecting lines in black and red punctuate the top right, adding a dramatic, almost chaotic energy to the work. Subtle splashes of earthy tones like brown and yellow dot the canvas, providing balance and grounding the composition. The irregular, layered surface suggests a complex narrative, inviting viewers to explore its textured nuances. This artwork stands out for its bold use of color, innovative composition, and evocative texture, making it a compelling piece that challenges conventional form and invites interpretative engagement.
Presentation
My works play with remains of various, almost all precarious, materials: papers, cardboard, paints, photographs, found objects..., which are combined through a technique that owes a lot to collage. In most cases, the arrangement of the fragments and the randomness of the composition lead the observer into a labyrinth that demands to be interpreted. The confluence of disparate elements resists the inadequacy of a rigid, obsolete system, opening up to a chaos that points towards the configuration of a new order.
