Description
This artwork is a striking example of abstract minimalism, composed of bold geometric forms and contrasting textures. Dominating the upper section is a vast, vibrant red rectangle, exuding energy and intensity. Below, a translucent, irregularly-shaped patchwork appears, with earthy hues and subtle markings evoking a sense of organic imperfection. To the left, a stark black vertical block introduces a sense of depth and grounding. On the right, a small, light green rectangular form with parallel lines adds an intriguing juxtaposition of precision and subtlety. The composition skillfully balances color, form, and texture, creating a harmonious yet dynamic visual experience. The deliberate use of space and form invites viewers to explore the interplay between the elements, fostering an engaging dialogue about structure, balance, and abstraction. This piece is a masterful representation of modern abstraction, challenging conventional perspectives and inviting introspection.
Presentation
My works play with remains of various, almost all precarious, materials: papers, cardboard, paints, photographs, found objects..., which are combined through a technique that owes a lot to collage. In most cases, the arrangement of the fragments and the randomness of the composition lead the observer into a labyrinth that demands to be interpreted. The confluence of disparate elements resists the inadequacy of a rigid, obsolete system, opening up to a chaos that points towards the configuration of a new order.
