Description
This striking artwork captures the dynamism of an urban scene through the use of vibrant colors and abstract forms. The dominant reds, paired with subtle blues, create a captivating atmosphere that conveys both energy and movement. Silhouetted figures moving in different directions are central to the composition, reinforcing the impression of a bustling environment. The abstract representation of architecture in the background creates depth and guides the viewer's eye through the image. The interplay of light and shadow is masterfully employed to depict the texture and structure of the cityscape. This composition captures the essence of modern urban life by emphasizing its complexity and constant activity. A masterpiece that impresses with its visual intensity and artistic refinement.
Presentation
Sven Pfommer always walks the line between photography, painting, and printmaking. Sven more or less gives precedence to one or the other art form. His works are often photographs taken during his travels, which he combines with graphic fragments and areas painted in his studio. Sven was born in Berlin, studied visual communication at the University of Hildesheim, and was awarded a British Council scholarship to study at the Royal College of Art in London. While working for several years as an art director and photographer, he has also spent the last 15 years focusing on the international art market. He founded his own gallery for contemporary photography in the art capital of Berlin ten years ago. For the past seven years, he has also been teaching photography, art, and design at various universities.
His work has been exhibited on 4 continents and published in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and Germany. He was awarded the Walter Thiemann Prize in 1996. He has completed commissions for the automotive industry, the fashion industry, several hospitality projects and clinics.
