Description
This abstract artwork presents a dynamic and textured composition, where blocks of color blend harmoniously. In the foreground, rectangles of black, white, light blue, and vibrant green form a bold contrast against the neutral, hazy background. The touch of red immediately draws the eye, creating a striking focal point. The vigorously applied brushstrokes add a tactile dimension, while shades of gray and beige surround the colorful center, accentuating depth and movement. The interplay of colors and textures conveys a subtle yet palpable energy. This work evokes an atmosphere that is both mysterious and vibrant, captivating the viewer with its balance of chaos and order. It brilliantly illustrates modern artistic expression through its innovative composition and bold use of color.
Presentation
For the last 30 years, Henri De Quatrebarbes's style, recognizable through its extrordinary color palette, has evolved between two modes of expression : one very simple, based on surfaces of color separated by lines and simple geometric shapes, and another "baroque" universe, in which colors form a ballet in perpetual movement.
In parallel to his studies, Henri De Quatrebarbes has taken for many years drawing and painting courses at the Galerie du Bac, in Paris. During these years he has acquired a great mastery of the techniques he uses and combines.
For the artist, having a different occupation than his practice is a necessity. Henri De Quatrebarbes needs to take part in the life of the community, have a normal everyday life in order to be able to pursue, in parallel, his personal aesthetic research and his inner oniic universe. Henri De Quatrebarbes's creative approach shows the confrontation between the exterior world and the universe of his dreams.
