Description
In this abstract acrylic work, I sought to capture tranquility within modern complexity. The bold hues and intertwining geometric shapes evoke the inner peace that can be found even in the most chaotic moments. It's a reminder that amidst the hustle and bustle, there is a space of calm, almost a sanctuary, waiting to be discovered. Invite this peace into your home and let it envelop you in serenity. The arrangement of colors and shapes has been crafted to foster a contemplative dimension in the viewer and give the whole a meditative character.
The canvas is painted on its sides in order to give it a third dimension (thickness) and to avoid a frame which could, for some, constrain it in space.
Presentation
For the last 30 years, Henri De Quatrebarbes's style, recognizable through its extrordinary color palette, has evolved between two modes of expression : one very simple, based on surfaces of color separated by lines and simple geometric shapes, and another "baroque" universe, in which colors form a ballet in perpetual movement.
In parallel to his studies, Henri De Quatrebarbes has taken for many years drawing and painting courses at the Galerie du Bac, in Paris. During these years he has acquired a great mastery of the techniques he uses and combines.
For the artist, having a different occupation than his practice is a necessity. Henri De Quatrebarbes needs to take part in the life of the community, have a normal everyday life in order to be able to pursue, in parallel, his personal aesthetic research and his inner oniic universe. Henri De Quatrebarbes's creative approach shows the confrontation between the exterior world and the universe of his dreams.
