Description
The painting "Girl with a pearl earring" features two striped images. One is one of the most famous paintings by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer.
An image shrouded in silence and mystery. This is the same girl whose eyes hold meekness and wisdom, while her pearl earring catches the light like a timid star. Her gaze radiates calm, sophistication, and an unspoken story, frozen in golden tones and soft transitions of light.
On the other hand, it is a bold reimagining, where a familiar silhouette comes to life in a whirlwind of contemporary energy. Here, the classic facial line gives way to bold graffiti, and delicate colors give way to explosive hues and textures. This is no longer just a portrait, but a contemporary manifesto, where art boldly embraces the pulse of urban life and the spirit of street culture. The image of the girl here takes on new facets: she can be ironic, challenging, or embody the complexity and multifaceted nature of our fast-paced world.
These two images, so similar and yet so different, create a captivating dialogue. Classic elegance collides with avant-garde freedom, timeless beauty with the dynamics of change.
In this composition, the artist, who created a contemporary incarnation, strives to show that the classics are not outdated, but merely transforming, acquiring new forms and resonances.
Presentation
Irina: "I am full-time artist. I find my happiness in doing art. Art is a part of my soul, my energy, my vision of the world. I consider myself a multi-faceted artist, I like to experiment with materials. I realized that I can create beauty not only with paints. I create three-dimensional artworks with volumetric elements. I work in two directions: mosaic paintings and wall sculpture art. I use decorative found objects, mosaic, plaster, wood, shells, crystals, gemstones, anything that can realize my ideas. My art is full of life and joy. The main theme is a Woman, her life, thoughts, feelings, relationships with people and the world".
