Description
This surrealist painting tells the story of two people separated by a vast city and yet connected by the same dream. In one window, a man sits beside his dog; in another, a woman sits with her cat. They are far apart, surrounded by the skyscrapers of Manhattan, yet they are looking at the same seascape — toward a place where the endless sea meets the open sky beyond the horizon.
Perhaps they have never met. Maybe each is living their own life, completely unaware of the other's existence. Or perhaps, somewhere among the millions of windows of New York, their paths have already come close to crossing — they simply do not know it yet. Each has their own little world, a silent companion by their side, and the same dream: to leave behind the noise of the vast city and escape to a place where there is nothing but the sea, the sky, and a sense of freedom.
That is why the painting can be interpreted in different ways. Perhaps it is a story about love — about two people who have not yet found each other, yet somehow look in the same direction. Or perhaps it is a story about loneliness, a feeling that can be especially poignant in a city where millions of people surround you, yet thousands of miles and countless other windows may separate two lives.
The dog and the cat become silent witnesses to these stories. They are beside their humans as they gaze into the distance and become lost in their own thoughts. Perhaps they know more about them than the entire vast city ever could.
Their worlds may already be very close. Or they may remain forever separated — by nothing more than two windows in one enormous city.
Manhattan remains real — its skyscrapers, water, and trees. Yet above the city, another reality emerges, one in which the distance between people is no longer measured in streets and blocks, but in the space between their inner worlds.
Presentation
Irina: "I am full-time artist. I find my happiness in doing art. Art is a part of my soul, my energy, my vision of the world. I consider myself a multi-faceted artist, I like to experiment with materials. I realized that I can create beauty not only with paints. I create three-dimensional artworks with volumetric elements. I work in two directions: mosaic paintings and wall sculpture art. I use decorative found objects, mosaic, plaster, wood, shells, crystals, gemstones, anything that can realize my ideas. My art is full of life and joy. The main theme is a Woman, her life, thoughts, feelings, relationships with people and the world".
