Description
This work, a full-scale sketch by the artist, is a quiet seascape that captures the calm expanses of the sea in the early morning near the town of Malia on the island of Crete under a softly shining pink sky. The sketch is artfully executed using a subtle pointillistic technique that emphasizes the gentle interaction of waves and light reflected from the surface of the water. The horizon stretches smoothly, inviting the viewer into the vast expanses. The composition is dominated by delicate shades of blue, creating a soothing and exciting impression. A sense of calm permeates the entire work, enhanced by a minimalistic approach that leaves most of the canvas free, allowing the viewer's imagination to roam freely. Choosing a deep, simple wooden frame adds a touch of warmth and naturalness, complementing the cool tones of the seascape and giving the image a refined, elegant look. The work stands out for its simple serenity and masterful use of color gradients.
