Ekaterina Dutkevich

Ekaterina Dutkevich is a contemporary figurative painter currently based in Stockholm, Sweden. Her artistic path developed alongside a strong technical education: she completed formal art training before earning a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. This dual background—artistic and analytical—shapes her distinctive visual language, allowing her to balance emotional sensitivity with structural clarity.

Dutkevich's practice centers on ordinary scenes of everyday life: domestic interiors, familiar gestures, and quiet moments that usually pass unnoticed. Rather than depicting exceptional events, she focuses on repetitive, recognizable situations that gradually form memory and emotional attachment. Her paintings transform the mundane into intimate psychological spaces, where nostalgia emerges not as idealization but as a fragile return to personal experience.

A central theme in Ekaterina's work is femininity—not as a symbol or social role, but as a state of being. She portrays softness, tiredness, care, routine, and vulnerability, offering a subtle, honest perspective on female presence. Through restrained compositions and a quiet figurative language, her works explore how intimacy and daily rituals become essential markers of identity.

Her analytical background informs her approach to composition and rhythm, while her painterly sensitivity preserves emotional nuance. Dutkevich creates visual narratives that feel both structured and deeply personal, inviting viewers to slow down and reconnect with their own memories.

Through an intimate focus on everyday experience, Ekaterina Dutkevich creates contemporary figurative paintings that honor quiet moments—revealing nostalgia, vulnerability, and emotional presence as fundamental parts of how we understand ourselves.

Her work has been exhibited in selected galleries in Sweden.
