Description
Through the rain | Venice Lagoon Rain Seascape Artwork
Seen through a delicate curtain of rain, the Venetian lagoon appears calm and mysterious. In this atmospheric oil on linen canvas artwork, soft waves glow with emerald and turquoise reflections while the distant island of San Giorgio Maggiore rises quietly from the mist.
Raindrops scattered across the composition create a sense of depth and perspective, as if the viewer is observing the lagoon from behind a rainy window. The scene feels peaceful and timeless — a moment of quiet Venetian beauty.
This artwork fits beautifully in modern interiors, coastal homes, or elegant minimalist spaces. The refined palette and poetic mood make it a striking yet calming focal point for a room.
Perfect as a gift for lovers of Venice, Italian travel, and atmospheric seascapes, the piece brings a sense of calm movement and distant horizons to any wall.
Presentation
Larissa Mayorova (larissaart) is a contemporary professional artist based in France, living and working on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Originally from Russia, where she studied painting, fine arts and theatrical decorative art, she moved to France in 2003 and continued developing her artistic practice through painting, exhibitions and independent artistic projects.
Her works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions in France and across Europe. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous contemporary art salons, cultural events and international exhibitions, including Art en Capital in Paris, as well as exhibitions in Cannes and other European cities.
Larissa Mayorova is also a laureate of the Fondation Taylor in Paris and has received recognition from the Société des Artistes Français.
Known for her atmospheric paintings exploring mist, reflections, textured surfaces and poetic symbolism, Larissa Mayorova creates dreamlike visual worlds suspended between memory, perception and imagination.
Inspired by the landscapes surrounding Lake Geneva, Venice, water, birch forests, mist and changing light, her work combines experimentation with materials and textures alongside emotional and symbolic imagery. Her paintings often explore the fragility of perception and the shifting boundary between reality and memory. Her Maine Coon cats, which are part of her everyday life, also appear as recurring poetic presences within her artistic universe.
