Description

A luminous cat and flying bird emerge from a warm golden field. The pale feline figure sits against layered ochre, bronze, brown, and black, surrounded by decorative white marks, small red accents, and loose gestural details. A dark green bird moves across the upper part of the composition, bringing energy and a playful sense of interaction.

The work is part of the 365 Days Project, 2013–2014, a year-long project in which the artist created one small artwork every day. Together, all 365 works formed a monumental installation measuring approximately 7 × 3 meters, later exhibited in several historic venues and châteaux in Haute-Savoie, France.

Each work represents a single day shaped by color, memory, imagination, and the rhythm of everyday life. Rather than receiving individual descriptive titles, the pieces were identified only by their dates, preserving their original place within the complete annual sequence.

Offered independently from the original installation, this work retains its connection to the larger project while functioning as an intimate artwork in its own right. Its compact scale, warm colors, and whimsical animal imagery make it particularly suitable for a gallery wall or as a distinctive gift for a collector interested in figurative art and daily artistic practice.

Materials: Oil on canvas.

Shipping / Display: Ready to hang. The artwork is shipped in a protective box.

Colors & Shades

Golden ochre, antique gold, warm amber, burnt sienna, rust brown, chestnut brown, deep umber, charcoal black, dark olive green, forest green, ivory, warm white, muted cream, bright red, scarlet red.

Its compact format and warm palette make the artwork suitable for a living room, bedroom, study, reading corner, hallway, creative studio, or gallery wall. It can work especially well alongside other small-format works, where its golden surface and dark graphic accents can create a strong visual pause. It also suits interiors with natural wood, warm neutrals, vintage elements, or eclectic contemporary decor.

Presentation

Larissa Mayorova (larissaart) is a contemporary professional artist based in France, living and working on the shores of Lake Geneva.

Originally from Russia, where she studied painting, fine arts and theatrical decorative art, she moved to France in 2003 and continued developing her artistic practice through painting, exhibitions and independent artistic projects.

Her works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions in France and across Europe. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous contemporary art salons, cultural events and international exhibitions, including Art en Capital in Paris, as well as exhibitions in Cannes and other European cities.

Larissa Mayorova is also a laureate of the Fondation Taylor in Paris and has received recognition from the Société des Artistes Français.
Known for her atmospheric paintings exploring mist, reflections, textured surfaces and poetic symbolism, Larissa Mayorova creates dreamlike visual worlds suspended between memory, perception and imagination.
Inspired by the landscapes surrounding Lake Geneva, Venice, water, birch forests, mist and changing light, her work combines experimentation with materials and textures alongside emotional and symbolic imagery. Her paintings often explore the fragility of perception and the shifting boundary between reality and memory. Her Maine Coon cats, which are part of her everyday life, also appear as recurring poetic presences within her artistic universe.
