Description
The artist painted this sketch from nature en plein air in November 2001 in Tsaritsyno Park on a rare sunny day. This work captures a charming landscape, depicting a quiet road winding through a park. The scene is bathed in soft, diffused light, casting intricate shadows along the path. The artist masterfully captures the changing seasons, juxtaposing bare trees and lush greenery, suggesting the transition from autumn to winter. The interplay of light and shadow is masterfully rendered, adding depth and dimension to the composition. The rich, textured brushwork enlivens the foliage, creating a dynamic contrast with the smoothness of the road. Framed in an exquisite gold frame, the work exudes elegance and timelessness. The harmonious palette and attention to detail reflect the artists deep connection with nature, inviting viewers to explore the tranquility of the natural world.
...Slumbers now the rutted roadway,
Dreaming in its quiet slumber,
That the white-haired winter's coming,
Short the wait, and few the number...
