Description
The artist painted this plain air sketch in Kolomenskoye Park in September 2019 in the Alla Prima style. This work captures a quiet corner of Kolomenskoye Park with a small garden of sunflowers, bathed in the subdued light of twilight. The painting, encased in a sturdy gold frame, depicts a lively garden teeming with sunflowers and lush greenery. The foreground is dominated by a bush of textured leaves of a growing pumpkin, adding depth and a touch of rustic charm. Above, the horizon is painted with soft shades of pink and blue, creating a feeling of an unearthly sunset. The play of light and shadow gives the work a calm, almost dreamlike atmosphere. The artist artfully combines realism with impressionistic touches, emphasizing the natural beauty and serenity of the landscape. This work invites viewers to stop and appreciate the quiet elegance of the garden at dusk, offering a peaceful escape from the daily hustle and bustle.
