This vibrant artwork captures a stunning seaside view through an open window framed by deep blue shutters. Outside, towering mountains rise majestically against a bright, sunlit sky, hinting at the allure of distant horizons. The tranquil sea, with its rhythmic waves, adds a serene backdrop to the scene. The foreground features lush pink florals that drape elegantly from the window frame, enhancing the natural beauty. A palm tree and potted plants on a charming balcony evoke a sense of tropical splendor. Inside, a yellow chair sits against a richly patterned floor, inviting relaxation and contemplation. The artist employs bold, vivid colors and dynamic brushstrokes, creating an energetic yet harmonious composition. This piece uniquely blends interior warmth with the vastness of the outdoors, making the viewer feel both cozy and adventurous.

Barbara Schaumann's latest collection brings together traditional oil painting with delicate stitching to create vibrant, textured pieces. Inspired by the relaxed feeling of tropical holidays, these works invite you to slow down — to escape into moments of warmth, ease, and quiet longing.

With bold colours, soft light, and breezy compositions, the paintings capture the laid-back rhythm of holiday life. Added thread details, carefully stitched into the canvas, highlight small elements and bring a subtle, tactile layer to the work — adding intimacy and depth without overpowering the calm, open feel of each piece.
