Description
This emotionally charged abstract artwork explores the fragile space between dreams, memory, and subconscious transformation. Suspended within a storm of glowing crimson, hot pink, ash gray, and deep blue tones, a dissolving creature-like form drifts through an atmosphere that feels both intimate and unstable. The composition balances softness and tension, creating a visual experience that feels almost cinematic — like remembering a dream seconds before it disappears completely.
Created in acrylic on canvas, this contemporary surreal artwork combines expressive brushwork, layered texture, and fluid movement to create emotional depth and psychological ambiguity. Floating droplets resemble fragments of breath, scattered thoughts, or traces of a fading presence, while smoky gray and muted neutral tones anchor the intensity of the vivid pink and red background. The artwork exists somewhere between figurative suggestion and pure abstraction, allowing viewers to project their own emotional narratives into the scene. Honestly, it feels like the inside of a mind running on three hours of sleep, existential questions, and one dangerously strong espresso.
Perfect for modern interiors, creative studios, gallery walls, contemporary apartments, music spaces, bedrooms, and emotionally expressive interiors, this artwork brings intensity, atmosphere, and conversation into a room. It also makes an exceptional gift for collectors, creatives, musicians, writers, dreamers, and anyone drawn to emotionally layered contemporary art.
Presentation
Larissa Mayorova (larissaart) is a contemporary professional artist based in France, living and working on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Originally from Russia, where she studied painting, fine arts and theatrical decorative art, she moved to France in 2003 and continued developing her artistic practice through painting, exhibitions and independent artistic projects.
Her works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions in France and across Europe. Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous contemporary art salons, cultural events and international exhibitions, including Art en Capital in Paris, as well as exhibitions in Cannes and other European cities.
Larissa Mayorova is also a laureate of the Fondation Taylor in Paris and has received recognition from the Société des Artistes Français.
Known for her atmospheric paintings exploring mist, reflections, textured surfaces and poetic symbolism, Larissa Mayorova creates dreamlike visual worlds suspended between memory, perception and imagination.
Inspired by the landscapes surrounding Lake Geneva, Venice, water, birch forests, mist and changing light, her work combines experimentation with materials and textures alongside emotional and symbolic imagery. Her paintings often explore the fragility of perception and the shifting boundary between reality and memory. Her Maine Coon cats, which are part of her everyday life, also appear as recurring poetic presences within her artistic universe.
