This portrait captures the essence of a 60s-70s icon. The artist uses the stencil and spray paint to structure the volumes of the face. The play of shadows and light unfolds in sharp blocks. The palette is limited to shades of green on a serene blue background. The style borrows from the codes of Pop Art and street art. The composition emphasizes the elegance of the subject through a close framing. Every detail, from the pearl necklace to the fabric drape, is treated with rigor.
The oblique gaze brings an introspective dimension to the scene. The balance of colors creates a soft and harmonious contrast. This piece testifies to a technical mastery of the stencil applied to portraiture. The work was created in 2025.

Tian is a French artist of urban influences, living and working in Le Mans.
Tian is fascinated by human nature, which is his favorite subject. The ambivalence of the being, its fears, its anxieties, its contradictions and its joys represent for the artist a great ground of inspiration, in which he pick ups all day long. He works more precicely on the duality of characters, revealing thus all the paradoxes of human emotions, as well as on the duality of physical, romantic and conflicting interactions between two subjects. Communication with the body can be sensual, romantic, sexual, or on the contrary tense, dominating, enslaving.
Tian works with stencils, on the walls of big cities or on canvases. Le Mans remains his favorite playground, even through we can see his tag on the walls of Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, New York, Sao Paulo and Warsaw.
