Description
This acrylic portrait captures a moment of suspension. The face, captured in profile, emerges from a deep darkness. The light sculpts the features with precision. It highlights the curve of the nose and the sparkle of the gaze.
The artist explores here the notion of identity and subjectivity. The pictorial treatment mixes figurative rigor and freedom of gesture. The chromatic contrasts are marked. A dense red adorns the shoulder, contrasting with the dark tones of the background.
The composition evokes a fleeting presence. The gaze seems directed towards an invisible horizon. Each brushstroke builds an atmosphere of mystery. The fluid technique brings a graphic modernity to this intimate scene.
This painting is part of a research into the multiplicity of being. It plays with shadows to suggest an inner narrative. The final rendering favors an economy of means for a direct visual impact. The subject thus remains anchored in an undefined space.
Presentation
The nomadic subject that I propose is a figure that emphasizes the need to act at the same time at the level of identity, subjectivity and differences. These are different demands that correspond to different practices. Multiplicity appears in a sequence deployed in several layers in which even contradictions can find their place
