Description
This acrylic composition explores the female figure with a figurative and instinctive approach. The line breaks free from conventions to favor a raw expression. The forms intertwine in a play of curves and volumes.
The palette unfolds boldly. A deep red dominates the lower part, contrasting with a dense green and touches of pure white. These colors oppose and respond to each other to structure the space.
The influence of cubism is manifested in the deconstruction of the face and body. The gaze is suggested, almost abstract, while the contours remain clear. The artist favors visual sensation over anatomical precision.
The material is applied generously. The pictorial rendering reveals the movement of the brush. This approach brings a tactile dimension to the surface.
The subject seems to emerge from a textured background. The shades of ochre and green frame the silhouette. The whole is stabilized by a discreet signature in the bottom right.
Presentation
At the age of 10, she started practicing drawing and later on became passionate about painting. She got a training in painting at first autodidactically before working in the workshop of Brienne with Jean Louis Engels until 1994. She then enrolled in open courses at the School of Fine Arts of Toulouse with Rémi Peyranne.
A versitile artist he draws his inspiration from raw art to cubism; from Matisse to Modigliani, from Picasso to Chagall, Sabine Louriac's paintings depict mostly female personages, strange and almost anthropomorphism with a colorful and bright color pallette.
