Description
The fixed gaze and the open mouth capture a moment of absolute stupefaction. This central and imposing face emerges from a chaotic organized of colors and textures. Mixed technique allows enriching the surface with material touches and varied pigments.
The swirling movement of the hair intertwines with serpentine shapes. Hues of violet and turquoise dominate the composition, contrasting with the flesh tones of the face. Golden flashes highlight the curves and bring a precious light to the whole.
The captured expression oscillates between terror and anger. The pictorial treatment, deliberately fragmented, accentuates the dramatic tension of the myth revisited with modernity. Each stroke emphasizes the intensity of the myth revisited with modernity.
This painting from 2023 plays on depth and relief. The neutral background highlights the complexity of the intertwinings that frame the portrait. The composition closes on a precise detail: the dark and starry void at the bottom of the open throat.
