Description
This work continues the exploration of silence as an inner space — a state in which perception softens and boundaries dissolve.
“After the rain" is not a clearly defined landscape, but rather its trace. Forms appear and disappear within translucent layers of color, as if seen through moisture and time. The surface holds the memory of movement: paint drips, blurred contours, soft transitions.
The composition invites slow contemplation, where there is no clear horizon line or fixed focal point — only a quiet unfolding of space. The viewer finds themselves in a moment where the world seems to pause, just for an instant.
Presentation
Aliona Koroliova is a Ukrainian artist whose practice explores the subtle connection between material and emotion. Art has always been an inseparable part of her life — a quiet language through which she perceives and expresses the world.
In 2011, she graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Technologies and Design with a degree in Textile Design, which shaped her sensitivity to texture, composition, and color. Over time, her path naturally evolved from botanical watercolor illustration to abstract painting, where color and light become a form of inner contemplation.
Since 2024, she has been studying in the studio of Ukrainian artist Oleksii Malykh. In her works, she turns to the themes of light, balance, and silence — creating a space not for explanation, but for feeling.
