Description
This work emerged from an inner need to pause and enter a space where tension no longer exists.
In a world where silence has become rare and fragile, painting becomes a way to briefly bring it back.
This landscape is not a specific place, but rather a sense of a boundary between the outer and the inner.
Soft transitions of color, dissolved forms, and a barely perceptible horizon create a space where everything slows down.
This work is about a silence that exists not around us, but within.
About a brief moment of calm that can be felt even when the outside world remains unsettled.
Presentation
Aliona Koroliova is a Ukrainian artist whose practice explores the subtle connection between material and emotion. Art has always been an inseparable part of her life — a quiet language through which she perceives and expresses the world.
In 2011, she graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Technologies and Design with a degree in Textile Design, which shaped her sensitivity to texture, composition, and color. Over time, her path naturally evolved from botanical watercolor illustration to abstract painting, where color and light become a form of inner contemplation.
Since 2024, she has been studying in the studio of Ukrainian artist Oleksii Malykh. In her works, she turns to the themes of light, balance, and silence — creating a space not for explanation, but for feeling.
