Aurembiaix Sabaté

In this work, the artist explores the expressive potential of matter within a circular format. This tondo evokes a celestial body or a cell viewed under a microscope. The pigments dissolve and blend with remarkable fluidity.

A striking contrast emerges between a dark central core and ethereal glimmers of light. Deep shades of blue merge with earthy and ochre tones, inviting the eye to travel through areas of transparency and density.

The composition suggests an organic sense of movement. The subtle gradations of color create atmospheric depth, while the visual balance rests on the interplay between shadow and light.

This piece plays with the perception of space and emptiness. The artist's technique emphasizes the natural diffusion of color, and the surface reveals nuanced textures that catch the light from different angles.

The overall effect is one of quiet contemplation. The perfect circle frames a dreamlike abstraction, with chromatic transitions gradually dissolving toward the edges of the support.
