Aurembiaix Sabaté

Mixed media and gold leaf on wood.

This circular composition explores the depth and richness of pigment. Blue dominates the surface, unfolding through shades of azure and indigo. Touches of violet and grey intertwine in a delicate interplay of transparency.

The execution evokes the movement of water or the vastness of a night sky. The medium diffuses with remarkable fluidity, while softened contours create a mist-like, atmospheric quality.

At the center, a golden accent catches the light. This focal point provides a precious contrast to the cool tones surrounding it. The gold leaf appears to float within an ethereal void.

The visual balance rests on the dialogue between the organic and the mineral. The circular format reinforces the contemplative nature of the work. Each hue flows seamlessly into the next, culminating in subtle tonal gradations that gently fade toward the edges of the disc.
