Description
The energy of jazz takes over the canvas. Three musicians are animated in a whirlwind of colors and shapes. The line is sharp. The bodies twist. The rhythm becomes visual.
A double bassist dominates the stage with his massive instrument. Beside him, a saxophonist stretches upwards. Down below, the drummer orchestrates the chaos with precision. The blue costumes contrast with the warm tones of wood and percussion.
The composition plays on distorted perspectives. The angles are sharp. The material seems to vibrate under the effect of the sound. The movement is captured in an almost abstract snapshot. Each instrument becomes an extension of the body.
The artist uses flat areas of bright colors and marked plays of shadow. The light sculpts the volumes. The neutral background makes way for the pure expression of the music. This painting captures the essence of a collective improvisation. The gaze moves between the brass, the strings, and the taut skins of the red drums.
Presentation
Dejoux has been developing a body of work marked by refinement and artistic rigor for several decades. Born in 1935, he has constructed a unique pictorial universe where mastery of materials, balanced compositions, and chromatic subtlety engage in a dialogue with profound sensitivity.
Her work reveals an elegant and timeless artistic style, driven by a constant search for light, texture, and emotion. Each piece reflects a personal vision of painting, blending expressive power with aesthetic sophistication.
Through a resolutely authentic approach, Dejoux follows in the footsteps of artists for whom gesture becomes language and the canvas a space for emotion and contemplation. His world now appeals to collectors and art lovers seeking rare, sensitive works imbued with a genuine artistic presence.
