Description
This mixed media artwork is a lambda c-print on fine art paper between dibond [bottom] and acrylic glass [top] . Ready to hang, combining painting techniques and photoart to create a photo-impressionist style. All works are the same and numbered 1/8 - 8/8.
This vibrant composition merges digital precision with tactile depth. The artist blends C-print, acrylic, and collage beneath a polished plexiglass finish. Vertical lines slice through the frame. They create a rhythmic, geometric structure. These blue and gold streaks act as a veil. They suggest a digital rain or a futuristic grid.
Behind this linear screen, a chaotic explosion of color unfolds. Splatters of red, pink, and turquoise float like organic debris. These fragments resemble biological cells or ancient artifacts suspended in time. The deep ochre background provides a warm, earthy contrast to the cool synthetic tones.
The artwork explores the tension between order and entropy. It reflects a conceptual research into the human condition. The layering technique creates a three-dimensional effect. It invites the viewer to peer through the surface into a mystical, fragmented world. This piece balances the coldness of new media with the raw emotion of painting. It transforms a chaotic universe into a structured visual symphony. The final result is a sophisticated study of beauty and imperfection.
Presentation
Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art, Painting and New Media.
Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
