Description
A visceral exploration of energy. This abstract oil painting captures a moment of raw intensity. Bold black strokes slash across a stark white void. The composition vibrates with a sense of urgency. A sweeping circular arc dominates the upper right. It suggests a cosmic rotation or a sudden eruption.
The application of paint is decisive. Splatters and drips create a chaotic rhythm. These elements evoke feelings of devastation and mystery. The artist rejects the mundane. He focuses instead on the invisible forces that shape existence.
Contrast drives the visual impact. The deep opacity of the pigment clashes with the purity of the background. Fine lines intersect with heavy masses. This creates a dynamic tension. The movement feels spontaneous yet controlled. It transforms the canvas into a psychological landscape. Every gesture registers a projection of power. The artwork concludes with a dense vertical cluster of marks on the right edge.
Presentation
"My art is part of my modus vivendi with which I oppose the intervening elements which penetrate everywhere and anywhere, erupting the possibility with aggressive malice. I register on canvas the projection of perish and devastation. From the very get-go, I vehemently deny the everyday existence of things which, even if it has a sense or a purpose and serves lofty ideals, will, nevertheless, not interest me. I deal only with mystery." - Vahan Roumelian
