Description
This oil painting captures a moment of raw intensity. Energetic black strokes slash across a muted, earthy backdrop. The composition radiates from a central core of chaotic energy. Here, sudden bursts of orange, green, and white emerge. These colors fight for space amidst the dark, sweeping lines. The gesture is violent yet controlled. Every splatter suggests a projection of devastation and inner turmoil. The artist rejects the mundane to explore the depths of mystery. The brushwork moves with a rhythmic, aggressive malice. It transforms the canvas into a battlefield of emotion. Contrast defines the visual experience. The pale background emphasizes the weight of the dark pigment. This artwork operates as a visceral response to the unseen. It avoids representation to embrace pure abstraction. The result is a powerful study of tension and release. The piece concludes with a delicate balance of splattered paint and deliberate arcs.
Presentation
"My art is part of my modus vivendi with which I oppose the intervening elements which penetrate everywhere and anywhere, erupting the possibility with aggressive malice. I register on canvas the projection of perish and devastation. From the very get-go, I vehemently deny the everyday existence of things which, even if it has a sense or a purpose and serves lofty ideals, will, nevertheless, not interest me. I deal only with mystery." - Vahan Roumelian
