Description
Abstract painting on wooden panel.Acryl-, oil paint ad pastels.
This abstract composition explores the intersection of chaos and structure. The artist employs a dense network of intersecting lines. These grids create a fragmented map of emotion. Oil and acrylic layers build a rich tactile surface. Muted greys and deep purples dominate the palette. Occasional flashes of pale yellow and soft blue emerge from the shadows. These highlights act as beacons within a complex urban or psychological landscape. The visual language suggests a world seen through a fractured lens. It evokes the tension between a rigid facade and a raw interior. Each brushstroke contributes to a sense of layered history. The artwork balances a disciplined geometry with an intuitive, mystical energy. It invites the viewer to search for order within a deliberate disorder. The final effect is a meditative study on substance and void. The composition concludes with a deep blue anchor in the lower right corner.
Presentation
Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art, Painting and New Media.
Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
