Somewhere Between Zero and One, 2026

Nina Narimanishvili

This mixed media composition explores the boundary between order and chaos. The artist employs a sophisticated layering technique on handmade paper. Earthy olive tones dominate the background. They provide a muted stage for a rhythmic collection of fragments. A bold typographic element anchors the top of the piece. It contrasts with delicate dotted lines and organic shapes.
The artwork blends figurative elements with abstract symbols. A fragmented portrait emerges from the center. It suggests a memory or a lost narrative. Nearby, a stark white form with black spots adds a playful pop art energy. This visual tension creates a dynamic dialogue between structured text and spontaneous gesture.
The lower section introduces dense textures and alphabetical sequences. These details evoke the feeling of a personal diary or an archival scrap book. Every element is carefully arranged to challenge traditional parameters of beauty. The result is an inspiring exploration of human emotion and imagination. The piece concludes with a raw, deckled edge that emphasizes the tactile nature of the support.
