Inner Warmth, 2026

“Inner Warmth" From the series “Between States"

In this work, the landscape becomes a space for inner experience — a place where the external world and personal memory meet in a moment of quiet presence.

Two figures — a child and an adult — are immersed in the landscape, almost becoming part of it. Their closeness speaks of connection, care, and shared experience. For me, they also evoke motherhood — the intimate space created between two people who are deeply connected, yet remain separate individuals.

Layers of colour, translucent forms, and vertical drips create a sense of a landscape that is constantly shifting. As in other works from the “Between States" series, I explore the balance between control and letting go, allowing the paint to move freely and leave traces of its own.

The softness of the colours and the stillness of the figures create a feeling of quiet warmth within the changing landscape. “Inner Warmth" is about the sense of belonging that can emerge through closeness — an inner place of safety and connection that we carry within ourselves.

It is a reflection on the space between movement and stillness, independence and connection, outer reality and inner experience.
