Quiet Strenght, 2025

Iryna Tymovchak

From the series "Between States"
This work explores the state of inner resilience—a strength that does not manifest through tension or resistance, but exists as a quiet, deep presence.

In the "Between States" series, I work with the landscape as a reflection of internal processes. The forms in this piece resemble stone, terrain, and traces of natural erosion—as if the matter simultaneously holds its weight and is in constant motion.

I work through layering, erasing, and the fluidity of the material, allowing the paint to interact with the surface freely. The boundary between control and letting go remains open, and the process itself becomes part of the work's structure.

Light planes and deep dark lines create a balance between fragility and support, between change and stability. For me, this "quiet strength" lies not in dominance, but in the ability to remain whole within transformation.

My inner state is a moment when movement slows down, making space for silence, presence, and the feeling of one's own inner support.
