“Continuity”
From the series “Metamorphoses of the Spirit”

This work explores a state of continuous transition — a process in which form has no clear boundary between emergence, unfolding, and transformation.

In the series “Metamorphoses of the Spirit”, I turn to organic, botanical imagery as a metaphor for inner change. Forms resembling seeds, petals, or bodily fragments exist simultaneously in states of opening and merging, creating a sense of a single living flow.

As in my other works, I operate at the edge between control and letting go. Paint drips, accumulates, and grows through contours, allowing the material itself to participate in shaping the image. In this process, the clear division between inner and outer, between body and environment, dissolves.

The soft pastel layer intentionally retains a fragile and unstable quality, becoming part of the work’s conceptual language. Its delicate, shifting surface reflects the vulnerability and impermanence inherent in all processes of transformation and growth.

Branch-like structures hold the composition together while simultaneously penetrating it, like a network of connections — fragile yet resilient. They create tension between order and the natural freedom of growth.

“Continuity” is not about a static form, but about life as a process without beginning or end.
It is a state in which transformation never ceases, and identity is not fixed, but constantly reborn.
