When it's raining outside, 2026

Halyna Kirichenko

" When it rains outside "

In a world defined by speed, pressure, and constant change, this painting reflects the human need for a place of quiet restoration.
It evokes a moment of pause — a withdrawal from external noise toward an intimate space where one can slow down, breathe, and simply be.

The scene suggests immobility rather than action, presence rather than urgency. It is not an escape from reality, but a necessary return to oneself — a moment where strength is restored before life continues its forward movement. In this calm, there is room for reflection, vulnerability, and quiet resilience.

The painting offers no answers nor instructions. Instead, it invites the viewer to remember their own place of safety — physical or emotional — where time seems softer and where the world momentarily lets go of its grip.

In the context of contemporary life, this work speaks to the importance of inner refuge: a space where one can reconnect with authenticity, find balance, and gather the courage to face what lies beyond the pause.

“ Light Between Days"

In her ongoing series, Halyna explores the stages of human life — the moments of transformation, contemplation, and quiet revelation that shape our inner landscapes. Each work captures a fragment of this universal journey: the search for meaning, the experience of change, the delicate balance between action and reflection.

With a minimalist composition and symbolic details, Halyna traces the rhythm of contemporary existence — where rapid change often defies our sense of stability, and yet, in this movement, each person seeks their own center of calm. Her characters inhabit intimate spaces of thought and emotion, revealing how ordinary moments of daily life can become gateways to self-understanding.

This series reflects on how we navigate our choices, how we adapt and grow, and how we find beauty in the quiet intervals between life's transitions. Halyna's work speaks softly but deeply of resilience, introspection, and the timeless human capacity to evolve while remaining true to oneself.
