The Guardian, 2026

Halyna Kirichenko

"The Guardian" artwork from the series "The Guardians of the Path"

In this painting, Halyna explores one of the essential stages of human life — the moment of inner encounter with one's own strength, fears, and intuition. The mysterious spotted creature, both guardian and reflection, represents the instinctive, untamed part of the self that accompanies us through transformation. The girl in traditional dress stands calmly within its protective embrace, symbolizing the dialogue between innocence and experience, between what is visible and what is deeply felt.

Through vivid color and symbolic form, the artist invites viewers to reflect on their own journey and the unseen guardians that accompany them through change. But sometimes we must step into the unknown, guided only by the quiet voice of our own soul....

Series " The Guardians of the Path"

In her series “Guardians of the Path" Galina explores the inner stages of human life — from encountering the unknown to accepting oneself and the world. In each work, the human figure coexists with symbolic creatures — animals that personify intuition, strength, fear, or support. These fantastic companions become images of internal states that accompany a person on his or her life path. Through naive form and bright decorativeness, the artist speaks of complex spiritual experiences in a simple, sincere language of color.
