Snow-Covered Roofs Of Houses, 2014

Viktor Konotopsky

S1835

Oil painting Snow-Covered Roofs Of Houses Victor Konotopsky is an atmospheric winter cityscape that captures the quiet rhythm of rooftops, chimneys, and narrow passages buried beneath fresh snow. Konotopsky demonstrates impressive artistic mastery through confident brushwork, strong structural composition, and a refined understanding of color temperature. Cool whites, pale blues, and violet shadows are contrasted with warm ochre, olive, burgundy, and rust tones, creating depth and visual richness throughout the scene. Thick, expressive paint emphasizes the weight and texture of snow, while angular roofs and vertical chimneys establish a dynamic architectural rhythm. The artist skillfully balances realism with painterly freedom, allowing individual strokes to remain visible and energetic without losing clarity of form. Subtle variations in the sky enhance the wintry atmosphere and sense of cold light. This original oil painting is ideal for collectors of winter landscapes, urban scenes, architectural art, impressionist-inspired painting, snow-covered cityscapes, and expressive contemporary fine art.
