Description
This acrylic and mixed media composition explores the boundary between abstraction and nature. The gaze navigates between organic forms and colored flat areas. A dialogue is established between the density of midnight blue and the lightness of powdered tones. Touches of intense red punctuate the space, evoking berries or stylized flowers.
The gesture is free. The lines intertwine without ever imposing themselves. Voluntary drips are observed which bring a vertical and fluid dimension to the whole. White, omnipresent in background and in relief, airs the scene and creates a luminous depth.
This piece plays on chromatic contrasts. Olive green responds to the nuances of pink and sky blue. The superposition of layers suggests an imaginary vegetal landscape. The visual balance rests on the alternation between saturated areas and clean spaces.
The technical execution mixes the precision of the line and the spontaneity of the brush. Each area reveals a different texture. The final rendering stabilizes on a play of intertwined shapes and superimposed pigments.
Presentation
Tanya Lytko is a contemporary Ukrainian artist, born in 1986 in the Odessa region. Since 2013, she has been creating works in the style of abstraction and abstract expressionism. In 2024, Tanya moved to Aix-les-Bains, France, where she continues to live and work.
Her vibrant paintings, characterized by an explosion of color, broken lines, silhouettes, and intricate pencil mazes, invite viewers into a magical world that evolves with every glance. The fluidity of abstraction in her art allows each piece to reveal something new, depending on the viewer's mood and perspective. Tanya's works are celebrated for their richness of color, emotion, and meaning, and are included in private collections in Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States.
Driven by an idealistic vision, Tanya approaches art as a way to channel the color spectrum of life through her own experiences. She describes her creative process as "holding one's breath on purity, inhaling deeply, and exhaling the spectrum of life onto the canvas."
