Description
A feminine silhouette emerges against a deep blue background. The gaze is soft, the face is stylized. A yellow hat, adorned with pink flowers, crowns the head elegantly.
The technical approach prioritizes the material. Acrylic is combined here with textiles and embroidery. Collage structures the dress, creating an assembly of heterogeneous patterns. Fragments of floral fabrics and hand-stitched details enrich the surface.
The composition plays on contrasts. The delicate pink of the skin responds to the colored touches of the ornaments. On the right, a green handbag completes the scene, while suspended elements float in the space.
The aesthetic mixes poetry and precision. Every textile detail is chosen to build a visual harmony. This 2026 painting captures a moment of daily life with artisanal sensitivity. The work on textures brings a tactile relief to the canvas.
Presentation
Patricia Simsa is a French painter, born in Paris in 1961.
Patricia Simsa is a multidisciplinary artst and doesn't focus her research on only one medium, initially she began with sculpture and then turned towards painting.
Her wild and joyful paintings are an invitation to enter her world filled with humor and love. Her favorite motif is women, or the image of the woman. Patricia Simsa's works intrigue, amuse, and manage to create complicity between the spectator and the characters.
She uses bright colours with thick strokes, the outcome is very poetic and highlights precision and harmony in her work, who leaves nothing to chance.
Patricia Simsa is a self-taught artist. Her first personal exhibition was in 1992 and she has done several since in Europe.
