Description
The work is filled with lively, moving lines and multi-layered strokes.
Surrealistic imagery. In the center of the composition is a fragmented human image. The faces and figures in the picture seem to transform, emerging from an abstract background, which creates a deep psychological and metaphorical subtext. In the manner of early European expressionism and surrealism, where complex psychological states, anxiety or internal monologue are conveyed through deformation and play with color. Additional abstract and figurative elements are visible in the background (in particular, the outlines of another profile in the upper right corner and plant motifs below), which add to the canvas a multilayeredness and dreamlike atmosphere.
