Description
Canvas on a stretcher frame. Acrylic on paper. A surrealist composition depicting a multi-layered world of fantasy and aspirations. At the center is a nude mermaid with lush hair, seated upon a gigantic apple, which is itself a microcosm. The apple conceals a castle surrounded by waters in which a mysterious fish with an eye instead of a head swims—a symbol of secret knowledge and the vision of the hidden. In the distance, on the horizon of raging waves, a lone ship is visible, embodying the path to one's goal, while above it all reigns a majestic, textured moon rendered in gold leaf. The work speaks to the fragility and power of the human dream, capable of creating entire worlds out of nothing—from deep-sea castles to celestial bodies. It is a journey into the subconscious, where reality intertwines with myth, and hope leads to unseen shores.
