Description
Abstraction is expressed here through an organized and luminous chaos. The gesture is fast, instinctive, almost electric. Dark and nervous lines intertwine to structure the space. They contrast with blocks of saturated colors that seem to explode on the canvas.
The work relies on a dialogue between force and lightness. The painter uses various materials to enrich the texture. The superposition of acrylic, aerosol paint, and Posca markers creates a tactile depth.
The whole evokes a dreamlike journey. The forms jostle like waves in a cosmogonic ocean. The solar yellow dominates the background, bringing a clarity that balances the density of the black and red lines. The eye circulates between areas of deep blue and flashes of acid green. This composition plays on a constant paradox between raw energy and a form of inner meditation. The work presents itself as a sensory map where natural elements merge. The final rendering oscillates between the influence of urban culture and a spiritual search for matter. Each line marks the territory of a raw emotion.

Richard Trian's work is experienced as a spiritual operation because all the images he presents are poetic in nature. They allow us to humanize the forces of the cosmos, ultimately leading to a true cosmology of humanity.
The spiritual life that dominates his work results from this action of making things grow, of elevating them.

The aerial dimension shines through surprisingly in Richard Trian's work, despite the tangle of forms and the strong intensity of the colours he uses.
What he offers us is a dreamlike journey. An aerial journey on waves, in a boat rocked in an ocean, caressed and sometimes battered by the waves.

Similarly, Richard Trian's poetics draws on all the natural elements such as water, earth, fire, wind…
His inspiration from urban culture and his attraction to the "beyond black" of a Soulages often lead him to use colors that explode like dynamite with dense, compact and electric forms.
Certainly, the artist needs to mark his territory with a very expressive or even violent painting in order to actually access a completely different dimension, that of interiority and meditation.
The painter embraces this paradox as his personal imprint, his own identity.
He does not idealize the spectacle of nature but absorbs it to expand the world through his own world, beyond all limits.
