Description
Geometric balance is imposed here with mathematical rigor. The composition plays on stark chromatic contrasts. The deep blue dialogues with a solar orange. Areas of gray and black structure the space. Fine lines traverse the canvas. They create precise linear dynamism. A play of nested triangles is observed. The forms are organized according to an architectural logic. Small organic and silvery elements float in this abstract frame. They bring a tactile dimension to the surface. The gaze circulates between the color blocks and the sharp intersections. This approach recalls research on the cosmos and plastic spirituality. The whole exudes a serene clarity. The precision of the line emphasizes rigorous technical mastery. Each segment finds its place in a thoughtful arrangement. The work is presented in a gold frame which solemnly emphasizes the contours of the painting.
Presentation
Artist Valentin Savcheko - creator of the SENS-ART philosophy was born on March 2, 1955 in Rostov on the Don, in the south of Russia. In 1971 he brilliantly finished the Grekoff Academic School in Rostov. He was then admitted to the Repine Academy of Plastic Arts in Saint Petersburg. After six years of studies, he left the Academy to quickly become a member of the Council of TEII (Experimental Group of Plastic Arts).
Savtcheko's painting is nourished by the heritage of pictorial representatives of Russian Cosmism such: Kadinsky, Malevich, Filonov. In 1983, he named his pictorial style SENS-ART (Art-Sensibility). Since 1983, Savcheko has painted more than five hundred pictures and one thousand graphic works. In 1989, his solo exhibition in St. Petersburg consecrated him in the Russian press as one of the most significant contemporary painters in Russia. 1991 and 1992 two personal exhibitions in Paris in the De Nesle gallery were sucked in the press. His works have been exhibited in Germany, England, Belgium, Spain, the United States, France, Russia and Sweden, Norway ...
Since 1990, Savtcheko has lived and worked in France. In 2003, artist created Atelier “SENS-ART” as a laboratory for artistic experience and creation.
