Description
The body becomes here the ground of a spiritual exploration. The brush reveals a human fragility laid bare. Through an oil glazing technique, the figure slowly emerges from an abstract acrylic background. This layering technique creates transparencies that weaken the flesh and highlight its tensions.
The composition mixes winged figures and raw calligraphy. A contrast establishes between the softness of the feathers and the force of the black line. The sacred aspect merges with a darker, almost urban reality. The pictorial gesture resembles a mystical quest, seeking an escape from the tangible world.
The artist uses mixed media techniques to build an inner narrative. The material accumulates and fades to make way for a silent dialogue. This canvas painting, created in 2026, plays on the superposition of layers and vertical drips. The gaze circulates between the areas of saturated orange and the earthy tones of the background. A discreet handwritten inscription completes the upper part of the scene.
Presentation
“My work is figurative and focused on the body, which I paint as a laying bare of human fragility. The act of painting is for me a mystical and spiritual experience. On abstract acrylic backgrounds, I apply oil glazes worked with a wiping technique, allowing the figure to emerge little by little, in a struggle with uncertainty. The transparency weakens the flesh, revealing its tensions and imperfections, giving birth to veiled bodies, silent necks, anonymous backs. Through this process, I seek a sacred dimension, an escape beyond reality. My canvases then become inner narratives, where the alchemy of painting becomes transmission and resonance with the viewer.”
