Description
A nocturnal atmosphere envelops this urban landscape. The composition revolves around a bridge with regular arches spanning a calm waterway. The sky is tinged with purple and violet hues. These dark tones contrast with the warm light of the lampposts.
Acrylic painting allows for precise work on the reflections here. Golden sparkles dance on the water's surface. They guide the eye towards the horizon where architectural silhouettes are drawn. A dark bank frames the scene on the right.
The rendering favors a muted ambiance. The perspective accentuates the depth of the deserted quay. Every stroke emphasizes the serenity of a sleeping city under a twilight sky. The balance of masses creates a stable visual harmony. The artist plays with the saturation of colors to convey the darkness. The artificial light becomes the central element of the canvas. It illuminates the concrete and stone. The painting ends with a play of contrasts between deep shadow and the clarity of the public lighting.
